*A new Breakaway Rule was passed at the 2023 General Membership Meeting at the Finals, we will be reviewing with the board and making an update to the Rule Book soon. FYI - there has not been an update to the Rulebook since the 2020 season so the link below is the most recent version available until the breakaway update is made. Update 6/10/24: Bell collar catch rule: Above the knee and over the head in front of the tail head. A paid personnel of the rodeo who understands the breakaway will be designated spotter. Spotter will be on the opposite side of arena of the judge.
